Learning from the Land at Traylor Ranch

For school field trips:

Grade Level: 3rd – 6th Grade

Length of Program: 2-3 hours
A full day of investigations and observations at Traylor Ranch Nature Reserve and Bird Sanctuary in Penryn, CA.  Once on-site, PNC staff will guide students in small groups through three inquiry-based discovery stations that explore stream and grassland ecology and cultural history of the land. After lunch break, students come together to perform a riparian restoration project and then end the day with a reflective writing activity. Offered during the Fall and Spring only.

Maximum 40 Students
Program Fee: $10.00 per child
