Staff and Board of Directors

Kathy Davidson
Executive Director                                                                                                            Kathy has spent 30 years in Education and Family Development services as a Director, Trainer and Consultant helping nonprofits, County, State and Federal agencies to develop quality programs for children and families. In my personal life I ran an animal rescue on our 13 acre farm and am an environmental activist. Now, semi retired I want to support children and families in being environmental activists.

Linda Chaiko-Lepley                                                                                                         Staff Naturalist                                                                                                             Linda has extensive experience working with children and adults of all ages having taught at the elementary, middle school, high school and community college level.  The outdoors has always been a major part of Linda’s life and is also one of the major reasons that she and her husband moved to Penn Valley from the S.F. Bay Area in 2015, so that they could be in the country, closer to nature, and enjoy the many outdoor activities offered in the area.  The move also allowed Linda the chance to work at the Placer Nature Center, an opportunity for which she is most appreciative because it allows her to combine her love of the outdoors with her love of teaching
