Staff and Board of Directors

Kathy Davidson
Executive Director
Kathy has spent 30 years in Education and Family Development services as a Director, Trainer and Consultant helping nonprofits, County, State and Federal agencies to develop quality programs for children and families. In her personal life she ran an animal rescue on her 13 acre farm and is an environmental activist. Now, semi-retired she wants to support children and families in being environmental activists.

Kira Greene                                                                                                                            Program Director / Staff Naturalist                                                              Kira is inspired by the symbiosis of the natural world; she is working on being in a mutualistic relationship with nature (or at least a commensalistic one). Her world travels and background in documentary film add a rich layer of experience to Placer Nature Center. As a lover of the plant kingdom, she might be found in the woods, the garden, or the kitchen. She strives to learn as much as she can from nature, and to share it enthusiastically with her community.     A love of gardening and knowledge of video allows us to  add depth to our gardens and our virtual activities.
